In the 17th Century, a Maratha youth occupied the centre stage of the political scenario in the country by the virtue of his unparalleled heroic actions, coupled with the superlative leadership qualities which were amply demonstrated when he turned ordinary sons of soil into accomplishing amazing military objectives to such an extent where, even the then presiding Mughal emperor lost no time in acknowledging it. The title “Chhatrapati” was bestowed on this valiant proud son of the country in the year 1674, who went on to occupy the throne at Rajgadh. Yes, the same youth 340 years ago, on this very day the Jestha Shuddh Trayodashi, was coroneted to the throne and came to be known to the whole world as “Chhatrapati Shivaji”. He revived the “Swabhiman” of this country by inculcating the ‘principles of nationalism’ in the minds of ordinary citizens. They responded overwhelmingly to his patriotic call, and ushered in the Golden era.
The history got repeated on 16th May 2014, when Sri Narendra Modiji along with his patriotic team led from front to rejuvenate the sagging national pride (Swabhiman). The diffidence and the subservience displayed unabashedly by the so called leaders of the previous government, reached its lowest ebb during the tenure. The run up to the elections proved how vicious the opponents were and it was by any standards the most bitterly fought elections in the post independence Bharat. The results of the general elections substantiated the theory that our countrymen exhibit maturity when the country is in danger. There was a clear thought process running through the length and breadth of the country, culminating in anointing the person of their choice. Like the unsheathed sword “Bhawani” of Shivaji destroyed all negativities, Sri Modiji for sure will destroy all the ills plaguing our nation . Friends, do not hesitate to take pride in the recent developments and feel assured that you have chosen the right path and right leader. The very first few steps taken by Sri Modiji, like extending friendship to our neighbors or giving more thrust to Governance, not Government augurs in a hope that good days for our country is just a matter of time.
